Alyssa Eisner, leading partner of Sager Gellerman Eisner LLP, is often relied upon due to her vast knowledge of and experience in matrimonial and family law, her client-centered approach and her tenacious advocacy. Her practice is devoted entirely to New York family and matrimonial law, including matters involving divorce, equitable distribution, custody, visitation, relocation, sexual abuse allegations, support, domestic offenses and matrimonial and family law appellate practice.  Alyssa is often hired as trial counsel for highly complex and contested matrimonial and family law matters.

Before joining Sager Gellerman Eisner LLP, Alyssa worked for another matrimonial firm where she gained extensive knowledge and experience in the field.  Prior thereto, in the beginning of her career, Alyssa was employed as in-house counsel in the technology field drafting and negotiating contracts, skills which have served her well in developing her success rate for resolving cases.

Alyssa is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and sits on the board of managers. Fellows of the AAML are recognized by judges and attorneys as preeminent family law practitioners with the highest level of knowledge, skill, and integrity. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section and the Legislative Committee of the Family Law Section of the NYSBA.  Alyssa is also a member of several local bar associations including the Queens County Bar Association, Family Law Section, Nassau County Bar Association, Matrimonial Committee, Queens County Women’s Bar Association and the Matrimonial Committee of the New York City Bar Association.

In addition to being recognized by her peers as a leading attorney in the field of matrimonial and family law, Alyssa has been awarded the New York Super Lawyer “Rising Star” early in her career as well as being named a Super Lawyer in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.  She has also been named one of the top 50 women attorneys and top 100 lawyers in 2017.

Alyssa graduated from St. John’s School of Law in 2000. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Queens College. She also holds certification in Divorce Mediation and Collaborative Law, Center for Mediation.

Alyssa is happily married and resides on the North Shore of Nassau County. Alyssa and her husband enjoy spending their free time in Montauk.  Alyssa is also an avid fitness enthusiast. Alyssa is the mother of two successful boys, one of whom graduated from Queens College and is embarking on his law school career and the other graduated from the University of Michigan and resides on the west coast, pursuing a career in film production.  She is also the stepmother to two beautiful little girls that reside with Alyssa and her husband half the time.

The fact that Alyssa has been on “both sides” of the desk, both personally and professionally makes her a compassionate, sympathetic and zealous advocate for her clients.
